Our History

V.J. Salomone Marketing Limited, previously trading under the name of British Import Company Limited, was originally conceived as distributor and marketing partner of world renowned companies.

The business has pursued a strategy of strengthening its portfolio by developing strong ties with its principals focusing on Personal Care and Home Care categories.

This year marks the 75th Anniversary of our strong association with The Procter & Gamble Company. This businesses association came about in 1931 following P&G's acquisition of Thomas Hedley & Sons, a UK manufacturer of the Fairy Soap brand, of which V.J. Salomone was its local agent. For Procter & Gamble this deal was a major milestone as this was its entry point to the British and the European markets, for our organisation this acquisition paved the way for a long term and a very successful business relationship with the world’s largest provider of consumer goods.
